The adventure begins at Tube 'n Axe where you will be taken through the Black Water Tubing orientation briefing, introduce you to the Storms River Guides and get kitted up for a day of fun in the Tsitsikamma..
The tubing group then jumps into the pickup and we drive you through the majestic Tsitsikamma Plaatbos forest to the drop off point on the edge of Storms River Gorge.
From there it's a 10min steep walk down to the rivers edge where the Blackwater Tubing safety brief takes place.
The Storms River tubing trip is a day filled with swimming, splashing, jumping, hiking and rapid shooting fun, a must for any holidaymaker or fun loving adventurer for something unique in outdoor activity.
Current Stormsriver water level: Low During the summer months there can be times of low water where the Storms River Tubing experience becomes more similar to 'kloofing', where you will float gently along the river, paddle the pools and walk the shallow sections. There are plenty of opportunities for rock jumping, some of which reach 8m high on the Storms River. Rock jumps are optional and our trained APA swiftwater safety guides are always ready to assist the feint hearted negotiating the fast flowing sections.

ELEPHANT SANCTUARY

The Tsitsikamma forest were host to the knysna elephant many years ago. These majestic creature roamed freely until foresters began to harvest timber in the early 1800's.
There are now only three of the origional Knysna Elephants left in the hartenbos forest near Knysna and various attempts have been made to re-introdude elephants. But the african elephant has proven to be too destructive for theTsitsikamma Region.
For an encounter with elephants as never before, join a one-hour walking with elephants tour that'll deepen your understanding of elephants and change you forever.
